The Chalkland Way is a 40-mile circular walking route on the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, Britains most northerly chalk outcrop, linking the villages of Great Givendale, Bishop Wilton, Bugthorpe, Thixendale, Fimber, Wetwang and Huggate. The route was established in 1994 by Ray Wallis. A free leaflet, financed by the East Yorkshire and Derwent Ramblers, is available. This includes accommodation information.
